St. Mary's Home for Boys has openings for counselors to work with emotionally and behaviorally disturbed boys, ages 10-17. The job is part of a team of trained professionals and is for the second shift, from 2:45 pm to 10:45 pm daily. This fast-paced job requires the ability to make quick, authoritative decisions based on standards and protocols within the St. Mary's Home environment, providing consistent leadership and quality guidance to the clients. St. Mary's is not a MR/DD, CMI or D & A Facility This position requires a BA/BS degree in psychology, sociology or other behavioral science. A recent internship or experience with similar clients is preferred. Excellent benefits. $11.00/hr to start with potential increase to $12.25 after 6 months. St. Mary's Home for Boys has an opening for a counselor to work with adolescents within a safe, secure and success-oriented setting to address the emotional, behavioral and academic needs of boys ages 10-17. This fast-paced job requires the ability to make quick, authoritative decisions based on standards and protocols within the St. Mary's Home environment, providing consistent leadership and quality guidance to clients. Requires BA/BS degree in education, psychology or closely related field. Documented experience working with autism spectrum disorders preferred. Requires excellent writing skills. Monday-Friday; 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. May require swing shifts (2:45-10:45 p.m.) and/or holiday coverage during non-school days.
