General:
St. Mary's Home Day Treatment Program is designed to provide a safe, secure and success-oriented setting to address the emotional, behavioral and academic needs of adolescents whose problems require more intensive help than is available in public school.
The Day Treatment Program serves the needs identified in each boys Individual Education Program (IEP). This necessitates the ability to provide skill building, behavior management, as well as academics and mental health services, depending on the educational handicapping conditions identified in the IEP. Mental health services are provided by Masters level psychologists and include individual, group, and family therapy.
The program is focused on successfully transitioning students into a less restrictive educational environment.
Program Modality:
St. Mary's Home Day Treatment Program encompasses a cognitive behavioral interpersonal program supported by a token economy system. Educational and psychosocial treatment plans focus on each student learning positive behavioral and coping skills that will insure success in the public school setting.
